A magnitude seven point three earthquake struck the coasts of Mexico and Guatemala on Friday, with its epicentre off Chiapas at a depth of about fifteen kilometers, Euronews reports. Authorities issued a tsunami alert warning of dangerous waves within a three hundred kilometer radius. Euronews notes the feed does not yet include further detail on damage or casualties.
