France 24 reports that a powerful magnitude seven point three earthquake struck Mexico's southern Pacific coast on Friday, near the Guatemalan border. The quake sent residents fleeing buildings in neighboring Guatemala and El Salvador and prompted an alert from the US Tsunami Warning System. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
