Tory MP Patrick Spencer found not guilty of Groucho Club sexual assaults

Conservative MP Patrick Spencer has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting two women at the Groucho Club, a private members' club in London. The charges stemmed from an incident in August twenty twenty-three that was captured on camera, in which Spencer placed his arms around two women from behind. Spencer maintained he was simply attempting to give them a hug. The Guardian reports that Spencer was elected to represent Central Suffolk and North Ipswich less than a year after the incident, and he has now been cleared of the charges.
