Sitges Film Festival’s Monica Garcia at the Costa Rica Media Market: ‘We’re Waiting for the Next Issa Lopez’

Per Variety, the Sitges Film Festival is launching a Latin American offshoot of its WomanInFan initiative, announced at the Costa Rica Media Market. The announcement brings together the festival's director general Monica Garcia, Morbido CEO Pablo Guisa, and Mexican director Luis Javier Henaine to discuss the current state of genre filmmaking in the region. Garcia emphasized that the festival is waiting for the next Issa Lopez to emerge from Latin America's film scene.
