Volo Bog State Natural Area in Grant Township, Illinois

Per Atlas Obscura, Volo Bog State Natural Area is a remarkable natural wonder hidden along the backroads of Illinois. This open-water bog is the only one of its kind in the state and the southernmost example in North America.
