science

According to NASA News, two major missions are launching this summer and fall. The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, named after NASA's first chief astronomer, is slated for no earlier than August 30th aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center. The observatory will conduct deep surveys of the cosmos, exploring dark matter, dark energy, exoplanets, and nearly everything from our own solar system to the galaxies at the edge of the observable universe. Later in mid-September, NASA's SpaceX Crew Thirteen mission will carry two NASA astronauts, a Canadian Space Agency astronaut, and a Russian cosmonaut to the International Space Station for a joint science and research expedition—marking the 13th commercial crew rotation between NASA and SpaceX.
