Jeffrey Donaldson to appeal against conviction for child sexual offences

Jeffrey Donaldson, the former leader of Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party, is appealing his conviction for rape and other sexual offences against two children. The Guardian reports that his legal team lodged documents with the court of appeal in Belfast on Friday, according to his solicitor, John McBurney.
