Trump backs Lindsey Graham's sister in GOP Senate primary

President Trump endorsed Darline Graham Nordone for a special Senate election in South Carolina, a bid to replace her late brother, Senator Lindsey Graham. Nordone was sworn in this week to serve out the remainder of his current term, which ends in January twenty twenty-seven. Axios reports Trump posted on Truth Social asking her to run in the GOP primary on August eleventh, and promised his Complete and Total Endorsement. Though Nordone hasn't yet publicly confirmed she'll run, the winner of that primary will represent South Carolina in the Senate until twenty thirty-three.
