H.H. Richardson House in Staten Island, New York

Henry Hobson Richardson, architect of Boston's Trinity Church and other iconic structures, built a Stick-style mansion on Staten Island that still stands today, per Atlas Obscura. Completed in eighteen sixty-nine, the house features a high mansard roof and elaborate iron detailing, influenced by his training at Paris's École des Beaux Arts. Remarkably, it even had gas pipes despite gas not being available in that part of the city at the time. After Richardson left for Massachusetts, the home was eventually subdivided into rental units, with the ground floor now serving as a physicians' office.
