San Francisco police find wreckage of boat that sank as body identified
world
The Guardian reports that San Francisco police have recovered the wreckage of a boat that sank in the bay this week, a day after pulling one victim's body from the water. The medical examiner identified her as fifty-eight-year-old Tondra Madruga, also known as Tondra Miller, the second person confirmed dead in the capsizing. The Volare, a forty-nine-foot cabin cruiser carrying twenty people, went down on Wednesday afternoon after a wave struck it. The group had gathered aboard to scatter the ashes of a loved one, and police are still searching for two people who remain missing.
