Claude make Fable 5 permanent

Per Simon Willison's Weblog, Anthropic is reversing a controversial decision to remove Claude Fable Five from subscriptions. Starting July twentieth, Fable Five will remain in Max and Team Premium plans at fifty percent of standard usage limits, while Pro and Team Standard users receive credit-based access plus one hundred dollars in one-time credit. The original plan was to move Fable exclusively to API pricing to conserve compute capacity, but competition from GPT Five point Six Sol and Kimi Three made that commercially untenable. The reversal ultimately prioritizes subscription revenue over Anthropic's earlier GPU-conservation concerns.
