Donald Trump blames Canada for smoke pollution

More than eight hundred wildfires are currently burning across Canada, with around one hundred ninety concentrated in northern Ontario. France 24 reports the surge is widely linked to climate change. Thick smoke from these fires has created hazardous air quality across parts of Canada and several U.S. states including Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, and New York—raising concerns ahead of Sunday's World Cup final at an open-air stadium in New Jersey. Donald Trump has blamed Canada for its forest management and threatened additional tariffs in response.
