More than eight hundred wildfires are burning across Canada, including around one hundred ninety in northern Ontario. The thick smoke has created hazardous air quality across parts of Canada and into several U.S. states — Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, and New York. France 24 reports the surge in fires is largely attributed to climate change.
