Deaths from Venezuela earthquakes rise above 5,000

Euronews reports that the death toll from last month's earthquakes along Venezuela's northern coastal region has now climbed above five thousand. According to the outlet, Venezuela has unlocked three hundred two million euros in funding from the International Monetary Fund to support recovery and reconstruction. The IMF is the global lender that governments turn to for emergency financial support.
