Dozens of Russian missiles pound Kyiv in major attack

The Guardian reports that Russia has launched one of its largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv to date, a five-hour raid that killed at least one person and wounded seven. Ukrainian officials said around forty Iskander-M and hypersonic Zircon missiles struck the capital, sparking fires and damaging offices and homes. Residents heard air raid sirens at half past one in the morning, followed by the sound of air defenses and then a series of booms and explosions. Ukrainian forces had earlier struck logistics warehouses inside Russia.
