Brent crude breaches $90 as Iran vows not ‘a single drop’ of oil or gas will transit Hormuz

Brent crude has pushed past ninety dollars a barrel after Iran vowed that not a single drop of oil or gas would pass through the Strait of Hormuz, CNBC US Top News reports. The same feed notes that American forces have begun a ninth consecutive night of strikes on Iranian targets. Hormuz is the narrow waterway through which a large share of the world's seaborne oil moves, which is why traders watch any threat to it so closely.
