BBC broadcaster Edward Stourton dies aged 68

The broadcaster and journalist Edward Stourton has died at the age of sixty-eight. The Guardian reports that the BBC announced his death, saying he died on Saturday surrounded by his family after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in twenty fourteen. Stourton presented a range of BBC programmes over his career, among them Radio 4's Today programme and the One O'Clock News. The corporation paid tribute to him as an outstanding journalist.
