An IR NeoPixel controller dongle
tech
Per Adafruit Blog, David Johnson-Davies has designed a USB dongle that transforms NeoPixel LED strips into a remotely-controlled light display. Plug it into a USB-C power adapter, connect your LEDs, and use an infrared remote to adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness of each LED independently—or sync them all to the same settings. The controller also animates colors with slowly shifting hues and remembers your configurations even after you unplug it, so your lighting setup picks up right where it left off.
