Live: France evacuates 55,000 more as Bordeaux fires worsen

France 24 reports that more than three hundred thousand people have now fled wildfires burning across France and Spain, after worsening conditions on Saturday forced a fresh wave of evacuations. Authorities ordered another fifty-five thousand people out near Bordeaux, where fire-generated whirlwinds are feeding the blazes, and warned of a difficult night ahead. In Spain, crews are battling expanding infernos that threaten areas near Madrid, France 24 says.
