India protesters celebrate as education minister resigns, Modi announces exam system reform

Weeks of demonstrations in New Delhi have ended with the resignation of India's education minister, after protesters led by the newly formed Cockroach Janata Party occupied Jantar Mantar for five weeks. According to France 24, students from across the country joined the sit-in and stayed even after a police crackdown injured dozens. Prime Minister Modi has since announced a reform of the exam system, and celebrations broke out at the protest site on Saturday.
