Father of boy on life support calls for safety review at Essex beach where two died

A woman and her teenage daughter have died off West Mersea beach in Essex after trying to save a seven-year-old boy who had got into difficulty in the water, according to The Guardian. Family members identified them as Shelina Rahman, a forty-two-year-old British-Bangladeshi teacher, and her fifteen-year-old daughter, Sameeha. The boy, Musa Ahmed, remains on life support in a London hospital. His father has since called for a safety review at the beach, The Guardian reports.
