other

A high court judge has blocked Tottenham Hotspur's plans to build a women and girls' football academy in a north London park. Per The Guardian, Enfield council had approved planning permission for the facility on six point five hectares of Whitewebbs Park, but a local campaign group called Guardians of Whitewebbs argued the decision was unlawful. The judge agreed, quashing the council's approval. The proposed academy would have occupied around sixteen acres of parkland.
