Zelensky arrives in the US for talks with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the United States for talks with President Donald Trump, Meduza reports. The discussions will focus on strengthening missile defense and broadening their strategic partnership, while Congress considers new Russia sanctions. Per Meduza, Ukrainian and American officials have been discussing an air ceasefire proposal that they plan to present to Russia as part of ongoing peace initiatives. This follows previous ceasefire offers from Kyiv that Putin has rejected. Some officials believe that continued Ukrainian strikes on Russia's economy could eventually pressure Moscow toward negotiations.
