Iran and Oman exchange proposals to manage Strait of Hormuz

Iran and Oman are exchanging proposals for managing the Strait of Hormuz. Al Jazeera says Oman's proposal is based on the Strait of Malacca model, in which transiting ships contribute voluntary fees. The strait is a critical chokepoint for global seaborne oil trade.
