Hadi Matar, twenty-eight, has been convicted of terror offences over the attack on author Salman Rushdie, BBC World reports, with prosecutors alleging he was trying to aid Hezbollah. Rushdie, the British-Indian novelist known for "The Satanic Verses," was attacked in 2022.
