Live: Southern Europe on high alert as wildfires rage

A wildfire in southwest France, spanning an area four times the size of Paris, threatened to flare up again on Wednesday as it remains uncontained. France 24 reports that crews across southern Europe are battling a punishing combination of heat, drought and strong winds, and that three firefighters died in Greece amid the broader wildfire crisis. Separately, firefighters did manage to contain a flare-up in the Fontainebleau forest south of Paris.
