Dogfooding at scale: migrating cdnjs to Cloudflare’s Developer Platform

Cloudflare has completed migrating cdnjs, one of the web's most-used JavaScript libraries, to its own Developer Platform. cdnjs serves nine billion requests daily across roughly twelve percent of all websites. The shift matters partly because large language models like Claude and ChatGPT frequently rely on cdnjs when scaffolding demos—its consistent URLs and immutable versions make it ideal training data for AI assistants. According to Cloudflare, the new architecture consolidates everything on the platform, solving long-standing observability and storage problems the previous split setup had created, while also reducing the security surface through fewer systems to patch and secure.
