Amazon's Zoox to begin charging for rides in Las Vegas after clearing NHTSA hurdle

CNBC reports that Amazon's Zoox robotaxi service can now charge passengers for rides in Las Vegas after winning a regulatory exemption from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The exemption authorizes operation of up to twenty-five hundred vehicles per year for two years, subject to enhanced safety conditions.
