Luke Bateman tells inquiry gambling companies supplied him with cocaine and alcohol

Former rugby league player Luke Bateman, now a TikTok influencer, told a parliamentary inquiry that gambling company promoters supplied him with cocaine and alcohol. He said the betting industry showed no duty of care, describing a private Gold Coast event hosted by a gambling company where senior figures used illicit drugs alongside clients. The Guardian reports his gambling addiction spiraled to cost him about a million dollars.
