Introducing the Billable Usage API: programmatic cost visibility for Cloudflare

Cloudflare is launching a Billable Usage API, the company announced, letting developers programmatically monitor what their infrastructure is costing them throughout the day. The endpoint breaks down usage and cost by product across all of Cloudflare's usage-based services — Workers, R2, D1, and others — using the FOCUS standard that other major cloud providers already support, so it integrates with existing cost-management tools. Cloudflare has also partnered with Vantage, an infrastructure cost platform that now pulls Cloudflare data into budgeting and alerting workflows; the API is available for self-serve accounts, fulfilling a customer request that's been outstanding for years.
