Retroid's Pocket Nova takes a second shot at getting 4:3 right

tech

Boing Boing reports that Retroid has announced the Pocket Nova, a handheld gaming device built around a four point five inch AMOLED display in the classic four to three aspect ratio—arcade cabinets' original proportions. The screen delivers 1280 by 960 resolution at 120 hertz. Under the hood is Qualcomm's QCS8550 processor with Adreno 740 graphics, architecture closely related to the Snapdragon 8 generation two, but without the phone hardware.
