These bizarre new beetles look so stretchy scientists named them Luffy

A newly discovered beetle genus has been named Luffy, after the stretchy protagonist of One Piece manga. ScienceDaily reports that the insects have unusually long, slender mandibles, antennae, and mouthparts that mirror the character's famous ability to extend his body.
