Campaign warns of perils UK waters can pose for dogs and owners

Near Solihull in the West Midlands, Dogs Trust is warning that open water spots like Earlswood Lakes can be more dangerous for dogs and their owners than they look. The charity says it has logged hundreds of incidents at UK waters in recent years, some fatal to pets or people, and points to hot weather driving more families to the water's edge without recognizing the risks, Dogs Trust rehoming manager Emma-Jane Thomas says.
