Zelenskyy calls for more air defences as Russian attack on Kyiv kills at least 17

world

Russia launched an overnight drone attack on Kyiv that killed at least seventeen people and injured dozens more, The Guardian reports. Ukraine's air force said it intercepted ninety-eight of the one hundred fifteen drones fired at the city, but brought down none of the ballistic missiles Russia also used. According to the Guardian, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy blamed allies for not delivering air defenses fast enough. The strikes mainly targeted warehouses in the capital.
