The Transportation Security Administration is expanding its airport privatization efforts with a new program that would shift security screening operations to private contractors at three airports: Tampa, Charleston, and Des Moines. The Guardian reports that under the TSA Gold+ program, private companies would gain control of both screening operations and the technology, a shift that would cost workers their union contracts and benefits.
