Baby safely delivered after mother died in nine-storey fall

A pregnant woman who fell from the ninth floor of a tower block in Leeds died from her injuries, but her baby was safely delivered thirty minutes later, an inquest has heard. Emma Atkinson, thirty-eight, was seven months pregnant when she fell from a window at her father's flat in Shakespeare Towers in the Burmantofts area on October twenty-second, twenty twenty-four, The Guardian reports. The inquest into her death is ongoing.
