Aipac-linked Super Pacs spend millions in California to thwart progressive candidate

The Guardian reports that more than five million dollars has flowed into a California congressional special election in recent weeks through Super PACs tied to AIPAC. The spending targets progressive state senator Aisha Wahab, the frontrunner to fill Eric Swalwell's former congressional seat in the East Bay. The effort aims to keep a progressive Democrat from winning the race, though Wahab already has the endorsement of the California Democratic Party.
