tech
Ars Technica reports that Blue Origin has identified the root cause of the catastrophic loss of its New Glenn rocket at Cape Canaveral in May. The problem originated in the main oxygen valve on one of the rocket's seven BE-4 engines during a hot-fire test on May twenty-eighth. CEO Dave Limp confirmed this through hardware recovery and inspections, and said the company is conducting extensive component and engine tests to develop mitigations.
