Nazi shipwrecks emerge from the depths as Europe’s Danube dries ups

The Danube River's severe drought has exposed Second World War wrecks normally buried beneath its waters. The Guardian reports that dozens of warships have surfaced along the Serbian and Romanian border, some partly submerged and still believed to carry weapons. Unexploded ordnance and a military motorcycle have also been recovered, remnants of the war now visible as water levels sink to historic lows.
