Nicola Sturgeon ‘has not spoken to’ estranged husband, Peter Murrell, since he was jailed

Scotland's former first minister Nicola Sturgeon says she has not spoken to her estranged husband Peter Murrell since his imprisonment, and will not visit him in prison. Murrell is serving a five-year sentence for embezzling more than four hundred thousand pounds from the Scottish National Party. During a recent podcast recording at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Sturgeon said he lied to her until pleading guilty, and she now views herself as a mug for having worried about his wellbeing and mental health earlier this year.
