New autopsy finds Mir Ali Raza was shot in the back, suffered multiple injuries

world

A second autopsy in the death of Karachi businessman Mir Ali Raza has undercut the suicide theory investigators had floated, finding he was shot in the back and suffered head and facial injuries, including fractures to his nasal bone and skull. Dawn (Pakistan) reports the eight-member medical board exhumed Raza's body on Saturday, with the cause of death still reserved pending lab results. The 25-year-old, owner of the eatery Wafflix, went missing on July twenty-eighth before his body was found the next day near Shahi Qila Ground. The family's lawyer is now demanding the entire investigation team be replaced, alleging Raza was tortured before he was killed.
