Syria says reached deal with Moscow on fate of Russian bases

The Hindu reports that Syria and Russia have reached an agreement regarding two Russian military bases in Syria: the Hmeimim airbase and the Tartus naval base. The facilities will be converted into joint training and capacity-building centers under new arrangements that preserve mutual interests, according to Syria's Foreign Ministry.
