Pro-science group urges Mark Kelly to run for president in 2028

The 314 Action Fund, a liberal advocacy group promoting scientists in elected office, is urging Arizona Senator Mark Kelly—a former astronaut—to run for president in 2028. Joshua Morrow, the group's president, told Axios they'd support him from day one if he ran, arguing that scientist-candidates appeal to voters weary of traditional politicians. The fund has raised over one hundred million dollars over the past decade, and previously pushed Kelly to join Kamala Harris's 2024 ticket. Kelly's team wouldn't comment on the endorsement bid, but he's said he's seriously considering a 2028 campaign.
