The third phase of Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections is underway in the Poonch Division's Bagh and Haveli districts, with nearly four hundred sixty thousand voters casting ballots. According to Dawn, authorities deployed an additional ten thousand three hundred troops, reflecting security concerns from earlier voting rounds. AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is defending his seat against a former political ally who refused to step aside, while two of his predecessors also face electoral tests. The PML-N, which has secured twenty-four seats in earlier phases, appears positioned to form the next government.
