Iran, Oman 'very close' to reaching deal, Araghchi says

Per Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, Iran and Oman are very close to reaching an agreement on a temporary route through the Strait of Hormuz. The strait is one of the world's most critical shipping channels. At the same press conference in Tehran, president Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the broader crisis, noting that violations occur in every memorandum of understanding. He suggested forming a team to address violations rather than to fight.
