Using salt to drive drug-carrying particles deeper into difficult-to-treat biofilms

Sticky bacterial communities called biofilms resist treatment by blocking antibiotics and drug-carrying particles. Phys.org reports that Yale researchers have now found salt can help drive these particles deeper into biofilms and deform them in certain cases. The study was published in Soft Matter.
