Nvidia partners with lenders to finance AI infrastructure

business

Semafor is reporting that Nvidia announced a partnership with major institutional investors—Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR—to finance AI infrastructure. The consortium totals more than five hundred billion dollars and will help companies, from startups to hyperscalers, access Nvidia compute and build AI facilities using Nvidia's proprietary datacenter design format, which Nvidia calls DSX AI factories. Until now, Nvidia itself has been lending directly to customers like OpenAI to support their infrastructure spending. The shift to distributed financing suggests that even the world's most valuable company recognizes the AI infrastructure boom has outgrown any single player's capacity to fund it alone.
