Oral nanomedicine improves cancer immunotherapy by harnessing gut bacterial metabolite

Phys.org is reporting on a breakthrough: researchers led by professor Young Seok Cho and professor James J. Moon have created the world's first oral nanomedicine that harnesses gut bacteria to enhance cancer immunotherapy. The drug uses natural metabolites produced by the microbiome to significantly boost immune cells' ability to attack cancer. The findings were published in Nature Nanotechnology.
