Car bomb kills Haftar intel chief in eastern Libya

A car bomb has killed Fawzi al-Mansouri, an intelligence chief aligned with Khalifa Haftar's forces in eastern Libya. The Hindu reports the explosive was attached to his car and detonated as he left a mosque at night on August tenth. Libya has remained divided between rival administrations in the east and west since its 2011 civil war.
