Texas’ mail ballot ID requirements restored by federal appeals court

The Texas Tribune reports that a federal appeals court has restored mail ballot voter identification requirements in Texas. The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a 2025 lower court decision that had struck down nine provisions of the state's election law related to voter assistance.
